The slam will be hosted by, Anjee-O (also the host of The Sweet & Sour Poetry Hour), and WTK's 2011 Individual World Poetry Slam representative! We will be exhibiting visual art by Juan Valdivia and Millicent Kennedy, have a special listening of "Hollow Frames" new single & there will be a bad-ass photobooth provided by LuxCamena! In the past, Lethal Poetry's partnered with Second City comedians, showcased HBO Def Poets and some of the most talked about performers Chicago has to offer. Words That Kill is a current "Metromix Pick" & frequently a Red Eye "best bets" feature! WORDS THAT KILL is a PSi certified Slam, which means, we are take a team to the National Poetry Slam and our top performers to compete in the Individual World Poetry Slam and the Woman of the World Poetry Slam! We welcome slammers 14 years and older, and language based diciplines. The only primary rules for Chicago's ONLY Omni Slam, is that your performance be 3min or less, in a monologue format (comedy = yes, theater=yes, poetry = yes). Compete & Destroy (for a prize!) This event wouldn't be possible without the support of creative lounge CHICAGO, Toyota, Quimby's Books, and Rumble Arts.
