Lethal Poetry Inc is a Music and Fine Arts Label that provides management, promotions, marketing services, and booking for its clients & has been utilizing arts & entertainment as a means to provide public service. They seek to promote artistic practices to bring together like-minded people by encouraging non-political social activism, promoting environmentally conscious living, and providing examples in the art community for accountability in regards to these issues.
September 18, 2008 LP's decided to launch a new event series! A comedy & spoken word showcase! WORDs THAT KILL will launch on October 29th @ The Spot! And if it goes well we'll continue the series. Come on out and let us know how you feel about the idea! September 15, 2008 It's official folks! Vocalo.org is one of Lethal Poetry's official media partners this year. We're fresh out of the meeting and excited to share the good news! More good news! Vocalo's going from aprox exposure to about 40,000 to around 2.5 million listeners with thier new broadcast tower! That's more Vocalo for LP...and EVEN MORE Vocalo love for the City of Chicago, Chi-town suburbs & Northern Indiana! September 4, 2008 It ain't over til it's over baby! That's right! We're still getting press! Check out the article about us in VENUSzine! September 3, 2008 We couldn't have dreamt a better outcome for ART ON TRACK!!! The exhibition went incredibly! We had nearly 1,000 paid patrons...and some sneaky art-bums that got onto the train without paying! But all-in-all we had an incredible outcome! We spotted both NBC & ABC news crews (hell yeah!) and we think they caught Salvo's fine CEO trying to defend the justice of a man that was pick-pocketed! A SUCESSFUL EVENING INDEED! The best news was that most people had heard about the event via our Time Out Chicago article, the coverage we had in Red Eye's official CTA Blog, Chicago Tribune, and many spotted those of us that were a part of the grassroots promotions team...some were excited to tell us how many of thier friends they'd talked into coming to the event too!! Looptopia...Lollapalooza...Artropolis...we may be young...but we are proud...and even better...we have AWESOME PRESS and an idea like no other! ART ON TRACK 2008...THAT'S A WRAP! August 29, 2008 At the eleventh hour Debonair Social Club, Tep Productions (a chicago full HD video production house) came through as last minute sponsors as well as, Great American Bagel, and Stanley's Fruit & Vegetable market! Stan, the owner, has built and owned over 12 of chicago's most infamous venues and The Joynt is his latest endevour! July 8, 2008 The Lethal Poetry team is going above and beyond our expectations for ART ON TRACK!!! We've secured an AWESOME venue for our after part which will be an extention of the exhibition! It will feature visual art, DJs, dancing, and a whole lot of sass!!! July 2, 2008 THE MOJDEH PROJECT is heading to Milwaukee to open for GOOD CHARLOTTE & BOYS LIKE GIRLS!! This is the first time that LP has ever worked with a body of performers and artist with the hope to have them ALL back again! June 22, 2008 One week left until A NIGHT OF SIGHT & SOUND at South Union of Art!! This exhibition will feature musicians, a comedian, belly dancing, live painters, installed artwork and more! Go check it out at 1352 S Union St in Chicago, IL. It starts at 7pm!! The Mojdeh Project's performance at the Humboldt Park Art Fest went GREAT! They rocked the crowd and had an excellet time performing under the sun! The band was proud to participate in the event in it's second year running! ...First step...HP Art Fest...second step SXSW....it'll happen, you just wait! June 19, 2008 Lethal Poetry & Salvo (two Chicago based Art Companies) have officially agreed to partner up to put on the WORLD'S LARGEST MOBILE EXHIBITION! Don't miss it on August 30th if you live in Chicago, Art On Track, will travel around the loop for four hours constantly allowing patrons and art-goers the opportunity to experience an exhibition like no other! June 7, 2008 One week left until The Mojdeh Project performs a FREE SHOW at the Gallery Cabaret! While TMP has played a number of excellent places we’re proud to have our premier band perform at a space that helped the Smashing Pumpkins and Liz Phair cut their teeth into the industry! May 19, 2008 The Lethal Poetry team headed to Green Fest at Navy Pier to pitch the business to other business! The goal was to start teaming up with green companies that would like to sponsor our events & help raise funds for non-profits! We’ve got a couple that have bitten! It’s only a matter of time before we can start promoting more green companies in exchange for some more sustainable support! April 21, 2008 The April NIGHT of SIGHT & SOUND was incredible!!! We had 7 visual artists 6 musicians, 4 live painters, 2 filmmakers, & an installation artist!
