RESIDENT ARTISTS

N Visible Man, aka DJ N Visible, Benny G, Dat Kid from Da Wind, or “Mayor Daley started his career as a musician”, has been a dj/vj, rapper, & artist for over 12 years and recently started his own record label. He has performed in 15 different states, sold 50,000+ copies of his 10 mixtapes in over 30 countries. He's integrated various forms of media all under the banner of hip hop.
His passion for music has led to discovering the need for a sustainable path to creativity that needs to be shared with both the creators and consumers of art. Through that route he has led the charge as a Cassette Tape DJ exploring a niche of music that is both under-appreciated and misunderstood by most.
He is willing to do whatever it takes to bring togetherness between people in all communities that he touches. Additionally, he spends much of his time supporting community endeavors and is a vocal supporter and volunteers for Rock For Kids (non-profit).

Lauren Herrmann is a Kansas-born, multi-disciplinary artist/writer. Her photography proclaims both the interconnectivity of all human beings, as well as the character that make us each unique. Lauren's move from a rural area to Chicago brought with it an interest in photographing urban life. Her urban work was first exhibited at the Art on Track after party, "Derailed" in 2008, though she exhibits regularly in both Kansas & Chicago.
The body of work Lauren will be creating under her Lethal Poetry residency revolves around volunteering for a number of local non-profit organizations and documenting the good work they do in the community.
A recent solo show in UIC's New Works gallery featured work from her time over seas, as a volunteer photographer for three local NGOs (NYOF, NECO, & PIN). Her travels have taken her to many countries including Japan, India, Nepal, and Israel. She looks forward to furthering her work with non-profit organizations that aim to create positive change in under-developed and under-privelaged communities around the world.
