Lethal Poetry is a production company & label that is best known for producing unique & innovative art events that bridge the gap between diverse creative communities for the purpose of supporting non-profit & humanitarian initiatives!
Paving a new path for small businesses, Lethal Poetry provides an example of a company that operates on ethics! All initiatives are built to raise funds for non-profit partners or they incorporate humanitarian outreach such as food drives, etc. Their efforts have gained ongoing support from entities like Chicago Public Radio, Vocalo.org, & Chicago Slam Works.
The company’s portfolio thrives on high production events such as Art On Track 2008 (recognized by, New York Times, NBC, ABC, Time Out Chicago), Nights of Sight & Sound (endorsed by RedEye & Metromix), & OUTSPOKEN (endorsed by Marc Kelly Smith).

Lethal Poetry has become a staple in Chicago with the rise of their ongoing poetry & comedy showcase/slam, WORDS THAT KILL. This event has featured highly acclaimed performers such as, Marty McConnell (2x Def Poet / HBO), Brian Babylon (appeared on BBC, hosts Moth Story Slam), JW Baz (5x National Poetry Slam competitor), Robbie Q Telfer (of Write Bloody), Josh Alton (of Second City), Gregory Lion Pickett (10x award winning poet, National Competitor), & Saul Williams.

Lethal Poetry also acts as a conduit for local artists to focus and build on their skills conceptually through the Lethal Poetry Artist Residency Program. Lethal Poetry does not feel bound by any medium. Current Residents include a collage & text artists, painters, musicians, new media artists, poets, and a DJ.
